June 6 ~ 40th Birthday Celebration!
BCS has turned 40! We'll be celebrating at Morrison Art Glass, 122 Ohio Street, on June 6 from 1-4 pm. There'll be music from Giants Causeway, refreshments, and a silent auction with some terrific items. Join us as we celebrate this historic year!
May 21 & 22 ~ Ski To Sea Junior Parade and Junior Race
BCS will be in the Junior Ski to Sea Parade again this year, with kids, teachers and parents representing us on a float, on bikes and on foot.
As in years past, we will also have a team competing in the Junior Race. The Junior Race is a relay race with Running, Bicycle, Three-Legged, Soccer and Obstacle Course legs. Lots of fun and excitement on the day.
March 18 ~ Team Trivia Night Fundraiser
Test your trivia knowledge with our brain-teasing questions! Hosted by Jack Brounstein, knowledge bowl and college bowl winner and former Bellingham Cooperative School student. You can register as a team, or be assigned one at the door. Tickets: $30 in advance, $35 on the night. All ages welcome! Further details.
February 26 ~ Read-A-Thon
The Read-A-Thon is an annual event at BCS. Students collect pledges for the amount of time they will read. We spend the day reading quietly, teachers keeping track of the actual minutes spent reading for each student.
Home school students may attend that day and read, or read at home and keep track of the time there. Parents may come to school and read, or read stories to children. It’s a wonderful day all in all!
