Crafts and Games

June 16-20

Art, crafts and games in a relaxing, beginning-of-summer, fun week.

American Girls Week

June 23-27 (Girls only, ages 5-18).
A BCS tradition since 1984

This session has become an annual favorite! American history comes alive in this week based on the 'American Girls' stories. This week has been a much-loved tradition at BCS since 1994. Included will be fun arts and crafts, stories, music, a play and a sampling of foods from days gone by. We promise new activities and old-fashioned fun! For girls age 5-18. Limited to 25 girls.

Explorers

June 23-27

In this camp, we will learn about some of the great explorers and intrepid expeditions of the past. We will also spend time hiking and going on some adventures and explorations of our own.

American Girls Week

June 30-July 3 (Girls only, ages 5-18).

Another chance to experience this popular camp (see description above).

Waterfront

June 30-July 3

Bellingham's waterfront has a rich history and some exciting possibilities for the future. Discover the past, present and future of our city's waterfront through stories, art, and field trips, and create your own design for Bellingham's waterfront.

Human Grossology

July 7-11

The ‘Grossology’ camps were a big hit last summer, and are back this year for another round of fun! Squeamish shrieks and squeals are the order of the day as we engage in delightfully repulsive projects that help us learn about the gross but cool workings of the human body. Based on the popular Grossology books.

Spanish Camp

July 14-18

¿Habla espagnole? In this camp, led by Spanish teachers Mary Hooker and Robin Pavesi, we will be learning the basics of spoken Spanish. We will also have fun playing games in Spanish and exploring foods, cultures and music from various Spanish-speaking countires. No prior experience of Spanish is required.

Fantasy

July 21-25

Do you like dragons and wizards, elves and magic, hobbits and Harry Potter? This camp is for you! We will have fun this week with stories, games and costumes on a magical theme, and perhaps learn a few magic tricks of our own.

Animal Grossology

July 28-August 1

A second ‘Grossology’ camp–just as much fun as the first! This camp will be similar to the Human Grossology camp described above, but our focus will be on delving into the delightfully disgusting inner workings of familiar and unusual animals. Based on the popular Grossology books.

Drama

August 4-8

We will be acting up a storm, playing drama games and learning new ways to express ourselves. Our goal is to put on a play by the end of the week!

Sci-Fi

August 11-15

Flying saucers, robots and time travel are on the agenda in this week on the sci-fi theme. As we imagine the future, we will also learn a thing or two about the current frontiers of science and technology.

International

August 18-22

Not traveling abroad this summer? This camp is a good alternative! We will experience five different cultures through music, games, language and food, as we focus on a different country each day of the week.
