Summer Day Camps

for kids ages 3 - 12

Plus 'American Girls' Day Camps

(for girls ages 5-18)

Why do BCS kids look forward to going to school during the summer? The BCS day camp program, of course! Throughout the summer we host weekly day camps with a variety of fun themes. Favorites repeat from year to year, and there are always new camps to enjoy as well. All camps run Monday through Friday and include hands-on learning, plenty of time outdoors, and lots of fun!

Summers at BCS have the same relaxing atmosphere that is provided from September through June. Weekly camp sessions feature arts and crafts as well as nature studies, with the school gardens providing a wealth of learning and play opportunities. A daily routine that includes reading and writing is also a part of each session.

A highlight every summer is the ‘American Girls’ day camp week. American history comes alive with theater, crafts, games and snacks from each of the time periods featured in the American Girls books. Girls as young as 5 and as old as 18 attend the American Girls week.

Our regular day camps are for 5 - 12 year olds (up to 18 for ‘American Girls’) with a different theme each week. Camps run weekly from mid-June to mid-August.

Preschool camps are for 3 - 4 year olds and are similar to our regular preschool. See more details about our preschool camps below.

Preschool Camps ~ for 3 and 4 year olds

Monday–Friday
9am - 1pm   or   9am - 3pm (extended care also available, 7am-5.30pm)

Our preschool camps follow the same dates as our other camps and are similar to our regular preschool. We have play time, project time, snack and story time, followed by lunch time and more playtime outdoors. Our activities reflect some of the projects the older kids are doing, but in our own space.

Limited to 8 children per session.

General Information

• All camps run Monday through Friday
• School opens at 8.30am, programs begin at 9
• Before-camp care is available from 7am by prior arrangement
• Extended camp days (up to 5.30pm) are available
• Fees must be paid prior to attendance
• Campers bring a daily sack lunch; BCS provides snacks
• Parent helpers are occasionally needed; you can let the teachers know if you are interested
• Drop-in attendance is sometimes available with prior notice to the teacher
